JeepLights
About

A publication for owners who'd rather plan than guess.

JeepLights exists because most Jeep owners are drowning in product reviews and starving for build strategy. We help you decide what to upgrade first, what to skip, and how to get the most capability per dollar — so you never buy the same part twice.

Who's writing

Ryan Ours

I drive a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK Willys Wheeler, and I approach builds the way I approach software systems: figure out the dependencies, then spend in the order that wastes the least money. I'm a developer and systems architect — not a sponsored builder or full-time mechanic — and I'm honest about the difference.

I started OffroadAdvisor because I kept noticing the same thing: owners don't struggle to pick a product. They struggle to know what to do first. JeepLights is where that thinking gets written down.

How we write

Owner voice, not expert decree

Everything is written from real ownership and reasoning — not the authority of a sponsored influencer. When we haven't done something, we say so.

Honest tradeoffs over hype

Every recommendation names what you gain, what you lose, and who should skip it. No affiliate cheerleading.

Strategy over products

We care more about the order you upgrade in than which brand you buy. That's the part that actually saves money.

The ecosystem
